The Effect of Self Efficacy Promotion Program to Cerebral Hemorrhage Patient’s Self Efficacy and Result Expectation.

Abstract
|

|
Purpose: The purpose of this research was to examine the effect of self efficacy and result expectation as providing self efficacy promotion program for cerebral hemorrhage patient.
Method: This study was performed patients with a diagnosis of cerebral hemorrhage in one hospital from June 1 to November 15, 2005. Patients were divided into a control group of 15 people, a experimental group of 15 people to which self efficacy promotion program was applied. The data were analyzed by using χ2-test, percentages, mean, t-test pearson correlation which were done with SPSS WIN 10.0 program.
Result: The patient who had the self efficacy promotion program got more self efficacy(p=.000) and higher result expectation grade(p=.000) than those of the counter group. And there was a positive correlation between self efficacy and result expectation(p=.000).
Conclusion: The self efficacy promotion program was effective in improving the self efficacy and the result expectation. So if we reinforce the self efficacy program education applied, we can improve the self efficacy and the result expectation.
